Ankita Lokhande delighted her fans by sharing a glimpse into her celebrations of Maha Shivratri.

Millions across India celebrated the auspicious festival of Maha Shivratri on February 26. Considered one of the most revered Hindu festivals, the devoted followers of Lord Shiva observe fasts, visit temples and seek his divine blessings on this day. Television actress Ankita Lokhande was among those who marked the day with devotion. She delighted her fans by sharing a glimpse into her celebrations of Maha Shivratri.
The Pavitra Rishta actress marked Maha Shivratri by starting her day with a sacred morning ritual, where she offered her prayers to Lord Surya from the balcony of her home. Dressed in a minimal kurta set paired with a white dupatta, Ankita exuded elegance as she immersed herself in the spiritual energy of the auspicious day.
Continuing with her devotion, she poured water over a tulsi plant, offering her heartfelt prayers to Goddess Tulasi. After this, Ankita performed a ritualistic bathing ritual for the idols of various Gods. With utmost reverence, the actress applied tilak to the deities, lit a lamp and burned incense sticks. She concluded her prayers with an aarti and chanting the names of the Gods.
Sharing the video, Ankita wished her fans on Mahashivratri, saying, “May Lord Shiva’s blessings bring you peace, prosperity, and boundless joy this Mahashivratri. Om namah shivay.”
Soon, her post caught the attention of her fans, who appreciated her Maha Shivratri rituals and praised her unwavering devotion and faith. They also pointed out her simplicity and wished her well. Meanwhile, like always, a section of online users shared their advice with the actress, with some mentioning that she should have kept the dupatta over her head.
Speaking of her work front, the popular television actress is currently seen on season 2 of Colors TV’s comedy-based cooking show Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment. Ankita is seen alongside her husband, Vicky Jain and her Bigg Boss 17 contestants Abhishek Kumar, Samarth Jurel and Mannara Chopra. The show is hosted by comedienne Bharti Singh and is judged by Harpal Singh Sokhi. Other contestants in the current season are Abdu Rozik, Elvish Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Sudesh Lehri, Rahul Vaidya and Rubina Dilaik. The second season premiered in January 2025.
