Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed solidarity with the people of Tamil Nadu in the aftermath of Cyclone Fengal, which caused widespread devastation in the state.
Taking to X, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said, “Our thoughts are with the people of Tamil Nadu as they recover from the devastation caused by #CycloneFengal. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced a relief package for the affected families. Chairing a review meeting at the Secretariat, Stalin assessed the damage caused by the heavy rainfall and directed Centre to provide Rs 2,000 as immediate relief to families whose livelihoods were disrupted.
The assistance will be distributed based on family ration cards, benefiting families in the most affected districts of Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Kallakurichi.
