Pawandeep Rajan has been admitted to the ICU of a private nursing home in Noida.

Indian Idol fame Pawandeep Rajan sustained severe injuries after his car met with an accident in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday, May 5. The incident reportedly happened early in the morning, at around 3:40 AM on National Highway 9, near the CO office of the Gajraula police station. As per police reports, the singer, who won Season 12 of the Indian Idol in 2021, was on board an MG Hector which crashed into an Eicher Cantor truck from behind. Pawandeep was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition with the help of the local police, the station in-charge, Akhilesh Pradhan, shared. His driver was also seriously injured.
Following first aid, Pawandeep was referred to a private nursing home in Noida for advanced care. His family later admitted him there for further treatment. It was reported that the 29-year-old musician was travelling to Champawat, Uttarakhand, from Delhi to attend a scheduled show.
In videos circulating online, Pawandeep was captured in a hospital bed, with doctors treating his leg and hand injuries. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also expressed his concern over the situation. In a social media post, Pushkar wrote, “Received the news of famous singer Pawandeep Rajan getting injured in a road accident. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.”

Despite rising to fame through reality shows, Pawandeep has already established himself as one of the most talented playback singers of this generation. During his time on Indian Idol, he stood out for the depth of his voice and versatility. He beat six contestants, including Arunita Kanjilal and Mohd Danish, to seal the title. He was also gifted a brand-new car along with a prize money of Rs 25 lakh.
Born on July 27, 1996, in Champawat, Uttarakhand, Pawandeep hails from a Kumaoni Folk music family. His father, Suresh Rajan, is a well-known singer of that region. His mother, Saroj Rajan, and sister, Jyotideep Rajan, are also passionate about music.
Pawan has already treated his fans with several singles such as Yaad, Fursat, and Mazoor Dil. He also lent his voice for the track, Tere Liye from the film Romeo & Bullet and is also famous for O Saiyyonii from Himesh Ke Dil Se: The Album. Pawandeep appeared as a mentor on Superstar Singer 2, where he trained and guided many young musicians.
