Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Saturday departed with his all-party parliamentary delegation to the United States as part of India’s Operation Sindoor global outreach. Ahead of his visit, Tharoor stated that the delegation is going with the motive of telling the world how India has been suffering from terrorism for many years and also delivering the message to the world that it will not be silenced by terrorism anymore.
The Tharoor-led delegation will visit five countries, including the United States, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. The delegation was seen at the Delhi Airport ahead of their departure to Guyana in the early hours of Saturday.

“We are going there to tell people about our experience, why we did what we did and what would be India’s attitude going forward in the future. We will meet people and share what we have been suffering from past so many years”, he said.
Tharoor went on to slam Pakistan for orchestrating terror attacks, saying, “Since its inception, since its birth, Pakistan has orchestrated a series of terror attacks against India starting with the war of 1947. The most recent Pahalgam attack is a reminder of Pakistan’s dastardly and barbaric terror activities that they have unleashed against India. Pakistan has also given safe haven to multiple terror organisations and leaders of these terrorist groups, including Osama bin Laden. It is beyond reasonable doubt to the whole world that Pakistan today is a terror exporting state, and the world needs to take note of this.”
“It is to communicate this all important message against Pakistani terror attacks and also communicate to the world India’s message of hope and peace, and India’s message of democracy and strength,” he concluded.
He also shared a photograph of the members of the delegation on X and said that others would join en route.
In another video shared by Tharoor a few hours before embarking at the Delhi Airport, he said: “We need to speak up for our country, for our response, and to give the world the message that we will not be silenced by terrorism.”
“We don’t want the world to look away either. We don’t want indifference to triumph over the truth. It’s a mission of peace, a mission of hope,” he added.
The delegation led by Tharoor also includes BJP leaders Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita, and Tejasvi Surya, along with LJP (Ram Vilas)’s Shambhavi Choudhary, TDP’s GM Harish Balayogi, Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora, JMM’s Sarfaraz Ahmad, along with former Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
On the delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya said: “The Prime Minister of India has entrusted us with a very important responsibility to communicate to the world India’s position on terrorism emanating from Pakistan, our policy of zero tolerance towards it, and why the global community must take note of the terror infrastructure Pakistan has created…The recent Pahalgam attack is yet another reminder of Pakistan’s dastardly and barbaric acts of terror against our nation.”
