While confirming the news over an official release, Yamaha has confirmed that more than 90 percent of total units of motorcycles were sold in India only.

The leading two-wheeler maker Yamaha has unlocked a new milestone in India. The company has achieved more than 10 lakh production marks since its debut in 2008. It has been revealed by the brand that the 10th lakh unit has been produced from the company’s facility in Surajpur.

While confirming the news over an official release, Yamaha has confirmed that more than 90 percent of total units of motorcyle were sold in India only. The number clearly shows the craze over the vehicle, which turned it into a hot-selling product across the line-up.

Meanwhile, the Yamaha R15 comes at the starting price of Rs. 1.84 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 2.11 (all ex-showroom). It is available in 6 variants and 8 colour options. It gets a 155 cc air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 18.4 PS at 10000 rpm, and has a fuel tank of 11 L with a claimed mileage of 45 kmpl.
