The new scooters feature a mid-drive motor with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), replacing the hub motors from previous models.

The new range includes the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, and the more affordable S1 X and S1 X+.

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd has finally launched its latest Gen 3 electric scooter range. These new models come with Ola’s ‘MoveOS 5’ operating system, marking a major upgrade for the brand.

The new lineup includes the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, and the more budget-friendly S1 X and S1 X+. Bookings for the new scooters are now open, with deliveries expected to start in mid-February 2025.

Ola Gen 3 Scooter Prices:

  • S1 X: Rs 79,999 (2 kWh), Rs 89,999 (3 kWh), Rs 99,999 (4 kWh)
  • S1 X+: Rs 1,07,999
  • S1 Pro: Rs 1,14,999 (3 kWh), Rs 1,34,999 (4 kWh)
  • Pro+: Rs 1,54,999 (4 kWh), Rs 1,69,999 (5.3 kWh)

(All Prices, ex-showroom).

The S1 Pro is available in two variants: one with a 3 kWh battery and the other with a 4 kWh battery. The Pro+ offers options for either a 4 or 5.3 kWh battery pack.

The S1 X comes with 2, 3, or 4 kWh battery options, while the S1 X+ only offers a 4 kWh pack.

Ola claims the Pro+ model can reach a remarkable 320 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 141 kph.

A standout feature is the ‘Brake by Wire’ technology, which uses sensors to balance braking and resistance from the motor, enhancing range by 15 percent and doubling brake pad life. The scooters also feature a mid-drive motor, which is five times more efficient, reliable, and lightweight than the hub motors used in earlier models.

Ola has replaced the belt drive with a chain drive, featuring pre-lubricated O-rings, which the company claims will last twice as long as the previous belts.

Ola Electric has also expanded its reach significantly, with 4,000 stores and service centres across India by December 2024, up from just 800 in November. The company now holds a 25 percent market share in India.

Additionally, Ola Electric announced the upcoming launch of the Roadster X motorcycle on February 5, 2025. The previous generation Ola electric scooters will remain available at reduced prices.
